Upon referral from a health care professional, Pets for Patients works with local shelters and pet rescue groups to place animals in their forever homes with patients who can benefit from the companionship and comfort care these pets can provide.

Pets for Patients rescues and screens pets and, as needed, provides assistance with all aspects during placements. Upon specific needs, our work may include pet food and supplies, veterinary care, pet training and foster care, as well as logistical and emotional support for patients. We also educate and train volunteers, health care providers, patients and their families on the amazing benefits of the human-animal bond.
